Pure Heart Church
PURE HEART · GIVING / 2026

Generosity is
worship,
not a
transaction.

We give because God has been generous with us first. Every gift fuels the local mission of Pure Heart — Sunday gatherings, kids and students, neighborhoods, the nations.

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.2 CORINTHIANS 9:7

QUICK GIVE · 30 SECONDS
I.WHY WE GIVE · THE HEART BEHIND IT

Because He gave first.

Giving at Pure Heart is never a price of entry. It's a Spirit-led response — a way to put our hands on what our hearts already trust.

  1. 01

Giving is worship, not a tax.

What we do with our money tells the truth about what we love. When we give first — before bills, before extras — we say with our wallet what we already believe with our lips: "The Lord is good, and I trust Him."

    2 Corinthians 9:7·Proverbs 3:9–10
  2. 02

    Giving is cheerful, never compelled.

The percentage is yours to wrestle with God about — ten percent is the historical starting line, but the question Scripture asks isn't "how little can I give?" It's "what would a cheerful, grateful heart look like for me, right now?"

    Malachi 3:10·1 Corinthians 16:2
  3. 03

Giving is local, for a mission.

Every gift you make here funds this church — the Sunday gatherings, the kids ministries, the Heart Crews, the neighbors we serve in Glendale and Peoria, and the missionaries we send to the nations. We are stewards of a real mission, in a real city.

    Acts 2:44–45·1 Chronicles 29:14

III.PRACTICAL QUESTIONS · STRAIGHT ANSWERS

The actual things people ask.

Q.01How do I get a tax receipt?

An emailed receipt arrives within seconds of every online gift. In mid-January we send one consolidated year-end statement covering all giving from the prior calendar year — that's the document your accountant will want. Lost a receipt? Email giving@pureheart.org and we'll resend.

Q.02Can I change or cancel my recurring gift?

Anytime, no questions. Sign in to your account here on the site or in the PHC app, open your giving schedule, and edit the amount, frequency, or pause it entirely. No phone call required, no "are you sure?" friction. Life changes — your giving can too.

Q.03Is online giving secure?

Yes. Card and bank information is processed by Stripe (PCI Level 1) and never touches our servers. We see the amount, fund, and your name — not your card number. Bank (ACH) gifts use industry-standard Plaid verification.

Q.04Card vs. bank — does it matter?

Practically, yes. Card gifts incur a processor fee (~2.5%) which reduces what reaches the mission. Bank transfers are free. If it's easy for you, ACH is the kindest choice — but use whatever fits your life. Both are equally welcome and equally counted.

Q.05Can I designate my gift to a specific ministry?

Yes — the designation menu on the give card shows the funds currently open. The general fund is the most useful (it lets us deploy where need is greatest), but Heart Kids, missions, benevolence, and building have dedicated lines if you want to direct your support specifically.

Q.06What about stocks, crypto, or my DAF?

All three are great options — especially for appreciated assets where you avoid capital gains. Start with the non-cash link on our giving partner page; everything generates a proper tax letter. For complex gifts (real estate, vehicles, IRA QCDs), reach our stewardship team directly using the contact block below.

Q.07How do you decide what's in the budget?

Each fall the staff drafts a budget from ministry priorities, then the elder board reviews it across multiple sessions, and the congregation affirms it at our December members' meeting. Quarterly the elders see a full P&L. Any member can request the most recent statement and audit at any time.

Q.08I want to give but I'm in a hard season. What do I do?

Don't give. Seriously. Generosity flows from a settled, grateful place — not from a strained one. We'd rather you sit and be served by us right now than feel pressured. If you're walking through real financial hardship, our **benevolence team** may be able to help — email care@pureheart.org. Generosity will be there for you on the other side.
